Expanded Metal

Expanded metal is a multipurpose material that is produced from solid sheets or plates of carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel or aluminum. It is available in four basic types: standard, flattened, and architectural meshes. Expanded metal is often used in fencing, walkways, and security screens. Flattened Expanded Metal – This type of metal undergoes an additional process where the raised strands are cold-rolled. This creates a smooth, flat surface and a more uniform appearance. It is suitable for architectural uses, like panels, grilles, and filtration systems.
