Our shearing cutting services are performed in our steel warehouse at Allied Steel Company daily. Our steel companies facility is equipped with two hydraulic shears capable of cutting 5/8" thick A36 steel plate as long as 144 inches. Our cutting machine's blades are checked at regular intervals, ensuring clean, precise, accurate cuts are always produced within the required tolerances. Each of the various material thicknesses is regularly put through the machines daily.

SHEARING/CUTTING, JUST THE BEGINNING OF ALLIED STEEL FABRICATION SERVICES

Many of Allied's shearing jobs are just the beginning of the fabrication process of products that include multiple types and stages of fabrication, each ultimately leading to the finished fabricated product such as formed angle brackets with slotted holes. The first step in the cutting process is to shear to size the exact blank steel piece from a standard stock sheet or plate, send the cut piece to be punched with slotted holes, and finally send that piece of steel to be bent into the final specified shape. This process to turn the flat blank steel piece into an angle bracket with slotted holes is done efficiently and is just a single example of our diverse fabrication capabilities.

Other jobs involve different steel sheet and plate thicknesses cut to an exact size specification for various uses. Our vast stock and selection of products that we put through the shear include steel sheet, galvanized sheet, diamond plate, plate steel, and aluminum sheet, plate, and diamond plate.
