A786 is a low carbon commercial quality steel that has physical properties of 33,000 psi minimum yield and 60,000 psi minimum tensile strength. This low carbon steel product has a medium raised pattern of lines or elongated diamonds on the surface, which reduces and limits the possibility of slippage delivering improved traction. Aluminum Diamond Plate, Floor Plate, Safety Plate
Aluminum Diamond Plate is used in various applications and is offered in two material grades, including 3003 and 6061 alloy. Allied Steel has supplied NJ, NY, and NYC commercial and residential construction companies for more than 50 years. 
 
The 3003 grade is the most recognizable and familiar, with a mirror-like shiny finish seen on food trucks, custom vehicles, or supermarkets displays. It is a lightweight metal and offers moderate strength and provides excellent skid resistance in addition to excellent physical corrosion-resistant properties plus has good fabrication characteristics being easy to weld, form, bend, drill, and fabricate. However, fabrication of this soft aluminum material can be challenging and is not recommended for machining type work. Aluminum 6061 alloy grade is very popular with commercial contractors, offering a much stronger material and is easily machined and fabricated into many desired products. The finish on 6061 is a much duller brushed surface appearance than the 3003 bright shine and offers substantially more strength. 6061 steel is generally employed in higher traffic areas and warrants a more highly corrosive material to withstand the test of time weathering the atmospheric environment.
