ASTM A36 is a Carbon Steel employed in general construction use and applications. The properties of ASTM A36 is a Carbon Steel accommodate a minimum yield of 36,000 PSI and a minimum tensile of 58,000 PSI. This grade of steel is one of Allied Steel most popular fabricated metals due to its outstanding overall strength. ASTM A572-GR50/A709-GR50/A992 is a High Strength Low Alloy Steel that is used in steel construction applications. ASTM A572-GR50/A709-GR50/A992 sustains characteristics of a minimum yield of 50,000 PSI and a minimum tensile of 65,000 PSI. This grade of steel recognized for its increased strength, used for construction purposes that demand higher increased strength loads such as bridges and building construction and construction equipment. This strong and durable metal includes properties that allow it to be easily welded, is machinable and is highly formable for use in many steel applications and uses. Charpy V-Notch impact Tests are available upon request.
ASTM A588 is a High Strength Low Alloy Steel also known as "Weathering Steel" or "Corten Steel". ASTM A588 is employed in construction applications and maintains a minimum yield strength of 50,000 PSI and a minimum tensile of 70,000 PSI. Weathering Steel/Corten Steel provides significant atmospheric corrosion resistance properties exceeding twice that of regular Carbon Steel. Construction Applications for ASTM A588 include bridge building as well as more substantial commercial construction such as structures exposed to significant weather elements. This grade of steel was developed to offer high strength and eliminates the need to be painted due to the higher amounts of copper, nickel, and chromium. Over time this High Strength Low Alloy Steel will rust, creating a protective barrier that protects the metal and resists corrosion.
ASTM A500 steel is the metal grade Standard for cold-form welded and Seamless Carbon Steel Structural Tubing. Available in a multitude of different shapes including square, round, and rectangle commonly employed in construction projects in need of properties of a yield strength between 46,000 and 50,000 PSI and a tensile strength between 58,000 and 62,000 PSI. Used to produce products commonly associated with Hollow Structural Sections (HSS). The ASTM A500 steel grade is frequently used in general, commercial and residential construction due to it's exceptional range of structural fabrication properties.

ASTM A36 Grade is Carbon Steel used in general construction as well as fabrication applications. This grade of carbon Steel maintains minimum attributes yielding 36,000 PSI and a minimum tensile of 58,000 PSI. ASTM A36 Steel Grade is used frequently throughout North America, particularly in New York and New Jersey. ASTM A36 provides a wide range of standard construction uses. Qualities of ASTM A36 are; it can be formed by Allied Steel efficiently. This carbon steel can also be easily welded, and machined offering outstanding strength for most general building, commercial construction as well as residential construction.
ASTM A572-GR50/A709-GR50 grade is a High Strength Low Alloy Steel is employed most often in steel plate construction applications, including the steel oft used in buildings and bridges maintaining specs of a minimum yield of 50,000 PSI and a minimum tensile of 65,000 PSI. This grade of steel is significantly stronger than other steel grades and is employed commonly on structures that demand a higher strength. ASTM A572-GR50/A709-GR50 steel is better suited for use in impact resistant conditions, known to be frequently deployed on construction equipment. This High Strength Low Alloy Steel can be easily formed, machinable and has the capacity to easily welded. Charpy V-Notch Impact Tests are Available.
ASTM A588 is another High Strength Low Alloy Steel, often referred to as Weathering Steel. Commonly used in bridges, ASTM A588 is utilized moreover for highway construction; its characteristics include a minimum yield of 50,000 PSI and a minimum tensile of 60,000 PSI. ASTM A588 steel grade can also be formed to suit many construction needs, and its properties allow for it to be welded easily. This High Strength metal, composed of multiple different metals and elements including; Copper, Nickel, and Chromium that provide Atmospheric corrosion resistance that is better than twice that of regular Carbon Steel. Because of the compounding of multiple metals, as the surface of the steel begins to rust, the rust progresses into a weathering barrier that coats and protects the inner steel, resisting most further corrosion.
ASTM AR400 grade is another High Strength Low Alloy steel that is sold and fabricated by the Allied Steel Company of NY/NJ. ASTM AR400 grade qualities are highly resistant to abrasion and withstanding powerful impacts. Due to the merits as mentioned earlier of this steel, it is used routinely in heavy machinery, including excavating buckets. Mining equipment has this High Strength metal is incorporated as they are in contact continuously with harsh materials including dirt, concrete, asphalt, and gravel. ASTM AR400 grade includes an increased level of Carbon and Manganese elements providing a yield strength approximately 155,000 PSI and tensile strengths about 180,000 PSI. This steel material is extremely durable and hard and such has limited capabilities of being formed.

A786 grade, low carbon steel has a raised pattern of lines or elongated diamonds on the surface which reduces and limits the possibility of slipping. This steel has a mill finish that can appear grey or blue.
